Dr. Charles Hewett
Dr. Charley has been a practicing orthodontist for over 30+ years, combining his love of science and people to treat tens of thousands of patients across the Milwaukee, Lake Country, and Washington County Areas. His work is defined by quality, patience, communication, and a dedication to service for his patients.
After completing his undergraduate studies at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota, he earned his dental degree (D.D.S.) and orthodontic specialty training (M.S.) from Marquette University in Milwaukee in 1992. After graduation, he entered private practice with Dan Holzhauer and his father, Ron.
Being a kid at heart, Dr. Charley had originally intended to pursue pediatric dentistry. However, upon discovering the puzzle-like nature of orthodontia, he decided to move somewhat laterally into orthodontics. Nevertheless, Dr. Charley treats many young patients today and works hard to consider their perceptions and comfort levels. He provides a light hearted sense of humor throughout their treatment. He also very much enjoys his non-adolescent adults and feels that it is never too late for anyone to experience the benefits of orthodontia.
Dr. Charley maintains his licensure in Wisconsin and is a member of the following associations:
- The American Dental Association
- The Wisconsin Dental Association and its component associations
- The Greater Milwaukee, Waukesha, and Washington County Associations
- The American Association of Orthodontists and it’s Midwest and Wisconsin component societies.
In his spare time, Dr. Charley loves spending time with his wife Doreen, his adult children Katie (Millie), Mark, and Peter, and two cats Joe and Coco. You can often find him taking in local sports and enjoying the outdoors (hiking, biking, skiing, grilling- you name it!) He also enjoys taking photos, telling stories, and relaxing with some cookies and a bowl of ice cream.
